What are priority projects?

The West Lancashire LSP assesses the issues for the district to help identify a number of key areas for development, improvement and regeneration. These areas then form the basis for the partnership's priority projects. 

The priority projects identified through the Sustainable Community Strategy in 2007 were: 

• Skelmersdale Regeneration
• Market Towns Project
• Safer Stronger Communities
• Rural Economy Study
• Vital Villages and Parish Plans
• Inspire Project

Following a review of the Sustainable Community Strategy and LSP priorities in 2010/11, two further key projects for the LSP were identified and allocated Performance Reward Grant funding:

• West Lancashire Challenge
• Strengthening & Supporting CCTV
