Children and Young People Thematic Group
The West Lancashire Children's Local Trust Partnership is one of
twelve such groups which cover the district authorities of
Lancashire County Council.
It has adopted the vision of the County Strategic Trust
Partnership as follows:
"Together, we will provide excellent services
where people live and which are tailored to local priorities.
We will stand up for Lancashire's children, young people and their
families, listening to what they say is important, and take
appropriate action. We will let everyone know what we are
doing to improve the outcomes for our children and young
people."
To this end the Local Trust Partnership
will:
- seek, listen to and act upon the views of
children, young people, their families and carers
- develop the Lancashire strategic vision for
ensuring positive outcomes and the safeguarding of all children and
young people in West Lancashire
- lead integrated working across all sectors
that work with children, young people and families in West
Lancashire
- establish a cycle of assessment, monitoring
and evaluation for the partnership's agenda
- promote, develop and implement integrated
processes, such as the Common Assessment Framework
- lead on and develop the implementation of the
central government's agenda for children and young people on behalf
of the Lancashire Children and Young People's Board, as it applies
to West Lancashire
This Local Trust Partnership will report
activities and submit minutes to the Local Strategic Partnership.
It will contribute to the performance management and evaluation
function of the County Strategic Partnership.
